I am not sure why, but I wanted everyone to know it was just the closing to the post. See the closing below:
Enjoy your weekend, Kim Haas Next, many former parents have emailed me to let me know they are still receiving emails from my blog. I apologize for this, but I have been in the process of changing from one service for subscribers to a newer easier service. The best way to stop receiving the emails is to unsubscribe. If you go to the bottom of the blog page you will see a link to unsubscribe, click that and that should solve the problem. I am sorry for the extra step. News Team the Week of September 23
Ethan-Local and Anchor Nathan-Sports and Weather Will Armstrong- International Each reporter will need to bring in their summarized articles to show me on Monday and Wednesday. They will read the articles to their peers and families on Tuesday and Thursday from 8:45-9;00. Snack Update Please, please, please bring in all the same treat. A variety might seem nice, but someone always ends up not getting what they like. Thanks! Wordly Wise Test Next week there will be a test on Thursday, September 26, because there will be no school for the children on Friday. Upcoming Field Trip to the Food Bank A field trip is scheduled for Wednesday, October 30, to the San Diego Food Bank. If you are interested in driving, please be sure you have all the required paperwork turned in. Jessica Yeagle at the front desk can help you, if you need any of the forms. I will send home a permission slip and ask for drivers when the date is a bit closer, but getting everything in order now will help the process run smoothly at the time of the field trip. I am enjoying being with the children each day. I have been taking lots of pictures and should have them posted on this site soon. Many of them have been contributing thoughtful and insightful comments during our Shiloh discussions. In addition, the two fourth grade classes have started rotating in groups during math time. This usually occurs twice during our A-F , 6 day schedule. It is an exciting way to differentiate the instruction and offer opportunities for the children to use technology, learn math games and work on new concepts in small groups. E Welcome to the 2013-2014 school year!
This is a test to see if my blog is working for those who have subscribed. Kim Haas |
