Tomorrow we will have breakfast at Harry's. The children may wear appropriate sleep attire, but they must bring a change of clothes to wear the remainder of the day. We will be walking, so sleepers are not recommended.

I will be attending a math conference in San Diego this Thursday and Friday. Then I will fly to Chicago to attend a reading conference. Therefore the classroom will not be open next week on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. I will return to school on Thursday, April 29. Please feel free to email me if you have any questions while I am gone. Mrs.Debbie Adams will be the substitute all five days.
The HeArt of Gillispie gala is fast approaching. Please enjoy this video with more details: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=saWBlfM95iE On Thursday, April 22, Project Wildlife will be visiting our classroom. This non-profit organization is dedicated to helping wild animals who are injured, orphaned or sick. The Food Bank and Project Wildlife are the two Service Learning projects the fourth graders learn about during the school year.
The children should bring in a donation of $5 to cover the cost of the presentation. In addition, the organization appreciates donations from their supply list . The supply list was sent home today and those items can be brought to school next week. Here are some of the needed supplies: paper towels, Kleenex, Dawn liquid dish detergent, bleach, 33 gallon trash bags, 13 gallon trash bags, anti-bacterial soap, towels (if used, good condition), plastic spray bottles, quart size freezer bags, cardboard pet carriers (new) *The presenter will be the one taking the supplies back to the organization, so one item per family would be sufficient to show we care. Visit www.projectwildlife.org for more information. Thank you for your help. Let me know if you have any questions. Kim Haas Monday, April 12
